I always start a creative project with something certain in mind, but at some point in the process of creating it, that something slips away, and I'm mostly left with a crude and unreleasable partial mould of what I had envisioned. I remember when I was okay with considering things done at a point, and being able to proudly post them online. After seeing what the test of time usually does to things, fully finished projects now seem like a mirage, because my quality standards rise faster than the progress that I make.
